Mimi is our sweet, spunky, cute, & bossy yorkie. Mimi is 9 years old, but you wouldn't know it since she plays like a puppy! Mimi may be little but she thinks she is large and in charge, and she definitely rules our roost. We call Mimi our little circus dog because she loves to perform, and she will do anything for her beloved BALL. Mimi is BALL OBSESSED! If that is the only toy she had, she would be content, because fetch is her game.

We are very grateful to still have our "Sweet Mi" with us, as we didn't think we still would, as she has almost died at several points in her life. Mimi has a special condition called, Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency, or EPI. Dogs that have EPI are unable to absorb nutrients from their food, and they will eventually starve to death if they don't have medication + special food, no matter how much they are fed. Mimi would eat, and eat, and eat, and was just a walking skeleton before we knew what she had. It was horrible to watch her suffer and not know how to help her. Thankfully her vet was able to find a diagnosis, and she saved her life. She was originally on a ton of medications and going to the vet for weekly vitamin B shots and bags of IV fluids, but now Mimi is only on a prescription food along with a prescription powder that basically starts to break down the food before she eats. EPI isn't curable, so she will be on this food & meds for life, and she isn't able to have any treats. Even though Mimi hates the food, she does eat it, and we love it because she is still here with us. Mimi is still our happy, bouncy, full of life, forever puppy.
