Jason is our pack leader, husband, father, and a true adventurer at heart! He is outgoing, daring, always ready to find something new & exciting to do, and he'll be the first one to try anything, no matter what it is! Fearless should be his middle name, because there is not much that Jason wouldn't attempt. Jason is funny, crazy, and the life of the party, in fact, the party doesn't start until he enters the room!

He loves exploring the great outdoors and doing things like kayaking, hiking, zip lining, skiing, white water rafting, and the list goes on and on! Jason is always up for anything, so if he hasn't tried something yet, you can bet it will be featured on a future video on Reising Up. In fact, Jason was a huge part of how and why Reising Up got started. Since he is always encouraging us to get out and try new things, we all decided, why not film it all! Not only is it a fun way to keep track of memories made, but it is also an avenue to inspire others to get out and start living their own adventure, and that is what Jason is all about.

Something you may not know about Jason, is that his life was almost cut short just over 16 years ago. Jason had an unknown life threating issue caused by Crohn's disease, that he didn't know he even had. After severe stomach pain, a trip to the ER, and many tests ran, they still did not know what was wrong with him, and the plan was for him to be discharged and sent home. Thankfully one doctor had a gut feeling that something was severely wrong, and he encouraged him to trust him enough to allow him to perform exploratory surgery to find and solve the problem. Luckily Jason agreed, and that one decision saved his life. Jason's intestines were so swollen from the Crohn's disease that the friction of his organs rubbing together had worn a tiny pin prick hole in his appendix, and they believe it had been leaking maybe 6 months or more. The leak from his appendix was poisoning his intestines, much of which had to be removed. We were told by the doctors that had he come to the hospital even 24 hours later, he would not be here today.

We are so very grateful that Jason is still here with us today, and able to still do all the fun and crazy things he loves in life. We are truly blessed to have him in our lives, and so excited to share all the fun adventures with you that he inspires us to go on. We hope that you are inspired to. Life is too short to wait to enjoy it.
